Single-layer Strontium Ruthenate Sr2RuO4 is to date the most promising candidate for chiral p-wave superconductivity. Intensively studied since its discovery 25 years ago, many experimental signatures indeed point towards the realization of such a topological superconducting state in this material. However, several experimental findings in recent years have led to renew controversy on the order parameter symmetry.
The purpose of this workshop is to bring experts in the physics of Sr2RuO4 together to discuss the state of the matter, identify crucial pieces of the puzzle, and plot a course for future experimental and theoretical directions to unequivocally identify the superconducting state of Sr2RuO4.
